The founding partners, Rob Hamilton and Luke Antonsen, have extensive experience in litigation and transactional matters.  They both have impeccable educational and professional resumes.  Rob was born and raised in Joliet, while Luke was born and raised in the Chicago neighborhood of Beverly.  They both credit Joliet and Beverly for the success of their firm, places where family, work ethic, honesty, and tradition loom strong!

 

 

Robert J. Hamilton

Rob Hamilton was born and raised in Joliet, IL where he graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy.  He attended The University of Iowa for his undergraduate education, DePaul University for graduate school, and The John Marshall Law School.  During law school Rob was selected as a member of The Honors Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Council and The Honors Moot Court Council.  Rob was also chosen to compete in the American Bar Association’s Employment and Labor Law Trial Competition.  For his excellent academic achievements he was selected to The John Marshall Law School’s Dean’s List.

Rob has worked for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office where he prosecute numerous cases, handling several bench and jury trials.  Rob has valuable experience on the civil side of the courtroom as well, working for a distinguished Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County’s Jury Trial Division.

Rob has donated his time to organizations such the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, helping the underprivileged and minors receive competent legal representation in areas such as bankruptcy and Guardian Ad Litem. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, The Will County Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. He is an active member of the Joliet Chamber of Commerce and regularly volunteers at the Spanish Community Center in Joliet, where he serves on the Board of Directors.

Rob enjoys spending time with his wife and son, family, and friends.  He also loves the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears, and fishing in local lakes and rivers whenever he can!

Luke C. Antonsen

Luke Antonsen was born and raised in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago, IL and is a graduate of Marist High School.  Luke attained his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa, where he recieved a major in Spanish and Political Science. Luke is a fluent Spanish speaker. He received his law degree from The John Marshall Law School where he was a Managing Editor for the John Marshall Journal of Computer & Information Law and a member of the Dean's List. 

 

Throughout his legal career, Luke has gained invaluable knowledge in many aspects of the law.  Upon obtaining his law degree, he worked extensively on a variety of complex civil litigation matters including:  9/11 litigation, the AT&T / SBC merger, pharmaceutical regulation of Oxycontin and Seroquel, and numerous reviews for the S.E.C.  Luke further gained extensive experience in insurance defense while an associate with a defense firm in Chicago, IL.  As a defense attorney, Luke successfully defended numerous insurance companies on both coverage issues and personal injury matters.  Prior to co-founding Hamilton & Antonsen, Ltd., Luke was a Plaintiff's trial attorney in Chicago, IL.  As a Plaintiff's attorney, Luke successfully litigated hundreds of cases from onset through final resolution via either settlement or jury trial, attaining exemplary results for his clients.  Luke further managed all aspects of probate and family law matters as a Plaintiff's attorney including guardianships, minor's estates, and estate administration

 

Luke is a member of The American Bar Association, The Illinois State Bar Association, The Chicago Bar Association, The Will County Bar Association, and the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Society.  He enjoys spending time with his wife and children along with traveling, the White Sox, history, and the outdoors.
